About ECOC

Eagle Crest Outdoor Centre is located in the beautiful Almaguin Highlands, only three hours north of Toronto, less than an hour south of North Bay. We have been offering experiential and educational programs to children of all ages for over 30 years. Eagle Crest Outdoor Centre operates as Hockey Opportunity Camp in July and August “The Ultimate Hockey and Summer Camp Experience” since 1966.

With 85 acres of hardwood forest and over 1500 ft. of shoreline, Eagle Crest is the ideal location for your group to learn in an outdoor setting. The ECOC experience provides campers with the opportunity for improved self-confidence, friendship, individual challenge, and improved skill development – all in a safe and enjoyable camp environment. Program Styles offered include: Day Experiences, Extended Day Experiences, 1 Night Experiences and 2 Night Experiences. Each experience is filled with activities from our 3 most popular program types: Outdoors and Active Sports Program, Outdoor Skills and Sports Program & Personal Developmental Program. Eagle Crest provides all the necessary equipment to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Our tradition of excellence is built upon the strength of our staff. Each staff member brings with them commitment, enthusiasm, and compassion for children. All ECOC staff training is designed around four core principles: Community, Leadership, Accountability and Performance.  Each staff member is trained and evaluated on their delivery of these four principles on a daily basis.  This creates a very positive camp atmosphere for all of our guests.

Many of our clients find out about ECOC through word of mouth, therefore, our goal is to continue to provide the same rewarding experience that has come to be expected from ECOC over the years.

We can accommodate up to 200 people in our traditional bunkhouses, which hold between 8-12 students each. We also offer separate accommodations for teachers/supervisors. Our dining room seats 120 and serves hearty meals prepared by our catering service.

Contact our office today for more information. We would be happy to meet with you at your location to discuss the possibility of your group utilizing our facility. Eagle Crest Outdoor Centre is open in May, June, and September for day, extended day or residential visits.
